How many more seasons of Cobra Kai are we going to get?
So far, Season 6 of Cobra Kai isn’t technically confirmed yet. Earlier this year, Netflix greenlit the fifth season of Cobra Kai ahead of Season 4’s premiere. Later on, one of the showrunners confirmed that Season 5 has already finished filming. As fans wait for what’s next for Cobra Kai, it appears that the people running the show are already planning for the future. Talking to Collider, Josh Heald confirmed that they still “have an endgame plan” but they are “still writing beyond Season 5.” Meanwhile, John Hurwitz explained that they always had at least six seasons planned, but at the same time, they’re open for more. His exact words were, “we’ve never said from the beginning how many seasons there would be.” TLDR; Cobra Kai fans can look forward to at least two more seasons in the years to come. If you told us a few years ago that Cobra Kai would go on and be a huge success on Netflix, we wouldn’t believe you, but here we are. After Netflix picked up Cobra Kai from YouTube Red (now YouTube Premium), the Karate Kid sequel shot up the charts. Cobra Kai is one of Netflix’s most-watched series. Furthermore, critics are loving Season 4 as it currently has a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. We already know that spin-offs from Cobra Kai are currently in discussion. Now that the showrunners have confirmed a sixth season for Cobra Kai, all that’s left is for Netflix to greenlight it, which should be only a matter of time. For now, all fans can do is wait for an official announcement. Until then, Season 4 is still very much chopping down on its competition as it sits firmly at the top of Netflix’s viewing charts ever since it premiered on December 31, 2021.
