Earlier this month, we reported that Modern Warfare 2 might be getting superstar football players, Neymar and Messi, as DLC skins post-launch. Now, we’ve got more evidence that they’re coming soon. According to screenshots circulating online, dataminers found operator skins based on Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar and Juventus’ Paul Pogba. These two are part of a long list of upcoming operators based on football superstars. The list includes Lionel Messi as well, as we might have already mentioned. Unfortunately, dataminers couldn’t find his skin in the early access build of Modern Warfare 2, at least at the moment. Call of Duty is not a stranger to weird crossovers. Last year, Activision Blizzard brought in Snoop Dogg, among others. But, this marks the first time that a footballer will join the foray as a playable skin. Most likely, the unannounced collaboration between Call of Duty and footballers likely has something to do with this year’s World Cup. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will run from November 20 to December 18.
