The Olympic gold medalist recently appeared on the Wrassingh Show to reveal his possible involvement at WrestleMania. Here’s what Angle said: Angle retired from wrestling in April 2019, citing his advanced age and a laundry list of injuries as the reasons. Angle hasn’t wrestled since, but he’s made sporadic appearances in the WWE. Specifically, Angle was at the August 29 episode of Raw where he turned down Chad Gable’s offer to join Alpha Academy. Angle enjoyed an illustrious career as a flawless in-ring performer before his retirement. In his initial WWE run from 1999 to 2006, Angle won the World Championship six times. Angle later joined Impact Wrestling where he also made his mark as a six-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and a Triple Crown winner (second). Angle returned to the WWE in 2017 and officially retired at WrestleMania 35 following his final match against Baron Corbin. Angle’s career as a professional wrestler saw him win several accolades. To date, Angle is the only wrestler to win the WWE Championship, WWE World Heavyweight Championship, the WCW Championship, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and the IGF’s IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Although most fans would love to see Angle back in action, seeing a familiar face in a non-wrestling role wouldn’t hurt. His knowledge of the game would bring tremendous value to the rest of the WWE roster. In particular, Angle could help guide fellow Olympic gold medal-winning wrestlers, Chad Gable and Gable Steveson. The WWE is reportedly considering bringing back The Rock for WrestleMania 39.
