Snipers in Call Of Duty: Warzone have access to some of the most powerful weapons in the game. With the right attachment and a bit of practice, a skilled sniper should be able to one-shot most of their opponents. You can get the most benefit from sniping in Solos mode as you don’t have to worry about your opponents getting revived by their team mates, meaning that you can finish them off confidently and move on to the next target. Below we will show you our custom loadout for one of the best sniper rifles in the game, the HDR. This loadout will improve your accuracy, damage and range, and should also reduce your bullet drop to almost “zero”. With the right attachments, you can take the game home! We’ve also included a video showcasing the use of this custom class in-game.

HDR Sniper Loadout Video

Note, you might question why we are playing Plunder - it’s simply so we could showcase a lot of kills for the video. This setup is equally effective in Battle Royale.

Weapon Level Requirements

In order to build this setup, you need to have your HDR up to level 35 and your secondary which will be MP7, should be level 51. You can choose whatever second primary weapon you want. It does not have to be MP7. But the MP7 is recommended for this build. You can check our guide on how to upgrade your weapons very fast and also see a complete list of level requirements for other attachments as well. Note: there is no point going for an extended mag with this build, as the idea is to get one shot one kill and it’s more or less pointless on a bolt action anyway.

Primary Weapon

The primary weapon will of course be your HDR Sniper Rifle.

Muzzle

For the Muzzle, you need to choose the Monolithic Suppressor. This suppressor is way too elite. It not only suppresses your weapon but also increases your damage range and accuracy. So, always go with a Monolithic Suppressor. The Monolithic Suppressor for the HDR unlocks at level 9.

Barrel

Choose the 26.9" HDR Pro as your Barrel. This will increase your damage range even further along with bullet velocity and recoil control. This attachment helps reduce the bullet drop and gives better aim. You won’t need to lead your shots very much at all. The 26.9" HDR Pro unlocks at level 9.

Laser

The Laser is extremely important for this build. To be specific, you need to choose the Tac Laser as your Laser attachment. It increases your aiming stability, aim walking steadiness and most importantly your aim down sights (ADS). You always need your ADS to be as fast as possible. This attachment also provides a slight increase in accuracy. The Tac Laser unlocks at level 27.

Stock

For your stock, you must go with FTAC Champion. This is the best stock you can get for HDR. It will increase your accuracy even more and give you more control of your HDR. This will also increase the aiming stability and aim walking steadiness even further. FTAC Champion unlocks at level 35

Perk

Choosing a Perk is entirely up to you and based on what you prefer the most. But for this build we went with FMJ. FMJ increases your weapon damage by increasing the bullet penetration. The FMJ perk unlocks at level 6. It has decreased effectiveness against Kevlar of course, but it’s what we prefer to use personally. An alternative you can choose here is Presence of Mind perk which extends the time you can hold your breath for before shooting. The Fully Loaded perk is another option, as we said, it depends on your personal play style.

Secondary Weapon

For your secondary, you can have any gun you want, preferably something light and fast to switch to such as an AR or SMG. We prefer MP7 SMG with the following set up:

Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor (unlocks at level 50) Barrel: FSS Recon (unlocks at level 27) Laser: TAC Laser (unlocks at level 51) Stock: FORGE TAC Ultralight (unlocks at level 19) Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip (unlocks at level 6)

This gun not only increases your overall mobility but it also shreds through enemy players.

Perks

Perk Slot 1 - Cold-Blooded

Choose the Cold-Blooded perk in your first slot. This will make you undetectable by enemy AI targeting systems as well as their thermal scopes. Alternatively, you can choose another perk in this first slot, as per your play style.

Perk Slot 2 - Overkill

In this slot you need to choose the Overkill perk since you must have at least one secondary primary weapon in case you encounter close quarter combat (CQC) situations. Otherwise you won’t be able to kill enemies rushing you at close range.

Perk Slot 3 - Amped

Amped is an essential perk when using two secondaries such as a Sniper Rifle and SMG. You should be able to switch between these weapons fast. You never know when you might have an enemy right on you, and the Amped perk will help you switch between your weapons significantly faster.

Lethal And Tactical

You can choose whatever you wish in this section. For Lethal it is always best to have C4 with you, as it can help greatly in taking out enemies without actually approaching them. C4 is also extremely helpful when taking out enemy vehicles that are approaching you. We recommend choosing the Heartbeat Sensor for your Tactical slot. It will help a lot if you are camping on a roof. In between your shots, you can whip out your sensor and have a quick look to confirm if anyone is trying to sneak up on you or not. Of course, if an enemy player is rocking the Ghost perk then it won’t work though!
