You see, each Darksiders game is completely different. The first one was more of a hack-and-slash, in the mold of older God of War titles. The second one was more of an open-world RPG. As for the third one, the game takes cues from the Soulsborne games, making it arguably the most difficult of them all. Meanwhile, the fourth one, Darksiders: Genesis, was a top-down dungeon crawler. With that said, gamers have had the luxury of enjoying all four aforementioned games on most platforms. At least except for Darksiders 3, which is surprisingly not available on the Nintendo Switch. This is about to change come September 30. THQ Nordic just confirmed that Darksiders 3 is finally headed to the Nintendo Switch.

Darksiders 3 on the Nintendo Switch will arrive alongside all the post-launch content, including The Crucible and Keepers of the Void. Part of the reason why fans have come to love the Darksiders games is the promise of seeing all four of the title’s protagonists in one game. Technically, this has already happened. All four made an appearance in Darksiders 3. Unfortunately, they weren’t playable. Ever since the first Darksiders game was released in 2010, fans have been waiting for the time when all four Horsemen will become playable characters under one single game. However, it doesn’t appear that this is going to happen anytime soon. If it’s any consolation, all Darksiders games are now playable on the Nintendo Switch, and now that gamers can play them on the go, we can only hope that THQ Nordic decides to go back and work on the new Darksiders game that they’ve been promising all this time.
